Harry Redknapp tells Ange his Tottenham 'nightmare' has come true as Kane transfer twist leaves Spurs legend in shock

Harry Redknapp reckons the Harry Kane to Bayern Munich transfer saga has created a 'nightmare' for Ange Postecoglou.

The former Celtic boss has been dealing with reports that the England hitman, who looked set to fly to Germany to seal a deal worth around £110million with the Bundesliga giants, was refused permission at the eleventh hour to travel to Munich. According to Sky Sports News, Spurs powerbroker Daniel Levy was looking to tweak terms of the agreement that was reached between the London side and the German champions. It leaves new boss Postecoglou in the lurch 48 hours away from his Premier League opener against Brentford.

Redknapp reckons it couldn't be worse news for the 57-year-old as he deals with the machinations of losing the club's record scorer despite having made his own new acquisitions such as James Maddison in the transfer window. Celtic-daft host Alan Brazil even joked he was going to need "counselling" after the saga rolled on, but Redknapp believes the Aussie's job just got so much harder.

He said: "I was shocked when I heard last night he was going to go. I thought all along there's no way he'll go to Germany, he will stay at Tottenham. It's a difficult one for Spurs as well, I mean how do you replace him? He's irreplaceable. He is so much of that team, he's ridiculous. He does everything for Tottenham.

"They can't replace him and it's left the manager in a difficult position," he added before co-host Ray Parlour commented: "Postecoglou is going to have a tough job anyway, he done well with Celtic and he looks like he's gone out and done some good business already, but to lose your best player two days before the season starts, it can't be ideal."
