Harry Kane volleyed a Coca-Cola bottle while celebrating goal vs Brighton
Harry Kane broke yet another incredible record on Wednesday evening.
In Tottenham Hotspur‘s 2-0 win at Brighton, the England captain scored yet another goal, his 95th away from home in the Premier League.
No player since the start of the division’s inaugural season in 1992/93 has scored more away goals, Kane surpassing Wayne Rooney‘s haul of 94 for Everton and Manchester United.
The Tottenham man’s haul of 95 came from just 139 appearances, which is 104 games less than it took Rooney to hit 94 – madness, right?
Kane really is one of the greatest strikers the sport has ever seen and his celebration for the record-breaking goal against Brighton was quite something as well.
The 28-year-old ran to the Spurs fans after finishing past Robert Sanchez from Rodrigo Bentancur’s through ball and as he did, a Coca-Cola bottle was thrown up into the air from the away end.
Kane spotted the object and instead of ignoring it, he opted to volley it as hard as he could.
That decision has now given us one of the greatest football-themed pictures in recent history…
