Harry Kane sends message to Dele Alli after Tottenham sanction Everton transfer

Tottenham striker Harry Kane has sent an emotional message to Dele Alli after the midfielder joined Everton on transfer deadline day.

Alli completed a permanent transfer to Goodison Park as he looks to revive his career after a disappointing time at Spurs recently, where he had fallen back down the pecking order under Antonio Conte.

Upon his move to Everton, where he will be teaming up with newly-appointed manager Frank Lampard, the 25-year-old midfielder expressed his excitement.

He said : "I'm delighted to have signed for Everton, a huge club with a great fanbase and history. I'm eager to get started and can't wait for my first game in an Everton shirt.

"I'm looking forward to helping the team and the opportunity to work with the new manager Frank Lampard. I've had a few good conversations with him (Lampard) already, he's a player I admired through his whole career watching him.

"I'm pleased to work with him, it's very exciting, I'm sure we can do great things together."

Now, after spending seven years in north London with Tottenham, Kane has sent an emotional farewell message to his long-term team-mate, wishing him all the best on his travels.

"Good luck on your next chapter @dele_official. We've had some great memories together over the past 7 years. Thank you for everything you have given me and the club! See you soon," a tweet from the Spurs striker read.

Despite Alli not being at his best in recent times, it was still an emotional feeling for the majority of Tottenham supporters to see him leave the club on a permanent basis.

The feeling was clearly mutual, with Alli taking to social media on Tuesday afternoon to say his goodbyes to the Spurs fanbase.

He said: "It's the end of a chapter, but not the book. Thank
