Harry Kane issues Antonio Conte demand to Tottenham board ahead of deciding future

Harry Kane is reportedly willing to hand Tottenham a major boost by committing his future to the club - but only if Antonio Conte is backed in the transfer market.

The Spurs striker was determined to leave the club last summer in a bid to win silverware, but a move to Manchester City failed to materialise.

Kane's determination to force a move led to a bust-up with Spurs supremo Daniel Levy - with both men forced into an uneasy truce after City shelved their interest in the England skipper.

But Kane is believed to have been enthused by the appointment of Conte back in November.

And according to The Sun, Kane is willing to complete his U-turn and stay at the club - if Levy gives Conte the tools required to succeed.

The Italian is widely recognised as one of the best coaches in the world, and his arrival in the capital after Nuno Espirito Santo's disastrous reign was seen as a major coup for the Londoners.

Kane reportedly believes that the serial-winner is the man to end Spurs' agonising 13-year trophy drought.

But Conte has already voiced his concerns over the club's ambitions after an uninspiring month in the transfer market in January.

And after Conte's recent comments on Tottenham weakening their squad put pressure on Levy to sanction extensive surgery on a beleaguered squad in the summer, Kane is set to pile more pressure on Levy by hinging his future on Conte's demands.

If Levy fails to appease Conte, then it's possible that Kane could try to engineer an exit from the club again in the summer.

Keeping hold of Kane would be a huge boost for Tottenham and Conte, who has been vocal about how far away Tottenham currently are from challenging for honours.
