Hamilton Accies make audacious swoop to sign THREE stars from title rivals Falkirk

Hamilton Accies have made an audacious swoop to sign THREE stars from title rivals Falkirk.

Lanarkshire Live Sport understands Accies want midfield triumvirate Callumn Morrison, Calvin Miller and Alfie Agyeman on permanent deals in this window.

Accies are understood to have made an initial approach for the trio last week.

That approach has been rebuffed by the Bairns, but it is believed this will not deter the South Lanarkshire side in their efforts to bag three players from the side they are competing with for League One glory this season.

Morrison, 24, and Agyeman, 23, are out of contract in the summer so can open talks with other clubs or sign a pre-contract, while former Celtic ace Miller is understood to have a clause in his deal that could open the door for Accies in the summer, if they are unable to negotiate a deal in this window.

He is currently tied to Falkirk until May 2025 after signing from Morton in July and has seven goals in 23 appearances.

Ex-Motherwell, Kelty Hearts and East Kilbride man Agyeman has scored six times in 27 outings this term.

John Rankin's Accies will certainly have plenty of competition for Morrison, as the former Hearts youngster is reportedly attracting interest from the Scottish Premiership and down south, with Salford City among those keeping tabs on the 24-year-old who has netted an impressive 13 times in 25 games this term.

Falkirk are currently top of League One from Accies by nine points, although Accies have a game in hand and still have to play the Bairns twice this season.

Meanwhile, Accies have appealed Ben Williamson's red card in Saturday's 2-0 win over Cove Rangers and the club expect to learn the outcome on Thursday, ahead of them facing Stirling Albion on Saturday.
