Hamilton Accies handed seven games in a month as fixtures are rescheduled

Hamilton Accies face a marathon seven games in a month as two midweeks are added to April.

The Championship club are closing in on the end of their campaign and a bid to avoid relegation or the play-off spot.

Their clash against Morton at Cappielow is now on Tuesday, April 11, with a visit by Inverness seven days later, on April 18.

The game at Cappielow had to be moved due to Accies’ SPFL Trust Trophy final against Raith Rovers at Falkirk on Sunday, March 26.

And Inverness’ involvement in the Scottish Cup semi-final against Falkirk put paid to their trip to New Douglas Park, which was originally scheduled for Saturday, April 29.

Both of the rearranged games will kick off at 7.45pm.

But that gives Hamilton a mammoth seven games in 29 days, four of which are at home.

They start at Dundee on April 1, with a trip to Raith Rovers three days later.

Drop-zone rivals Cove Rangers come calling on April 8, with that trip to Morton on April 11, followed by a visit to Queen’s Park on April 15.

Accies then end the month with a home double-header against Inverness on April 18, and Partick Thistle on April 22.

There's then a break before the final game of the season takes place at Arbroath on Friday, May 5.

John Rankin’s side are currently ninth in the Championship, a point above Arbroath and one below Cove, as they welcome fourth-placed Ayr United to New Douglas Park on Saturday.
