Hamilton Accies frustrated they couldn't stop old team-mate Lewis Smith running the show for Lions, says Kevin O'Hara
Kevin O'Hara admits Hamilton Accies are frustrated they were undone by a former team-mate they know so well in Saturday's defeat to Livingston.
Lewis Smith spent six years at Accies before a move to the Lions in the summer and he returned to haunt his old club, playing a starring role as he score one and set up ex-Accie Stevie May for the opener in a 3-1 win, which also saw a third former Hamilton man, Andy Winter, net the clincher.
Smith even earned a round of applause from both sets of supporters when he was substituted in the 87th minute.
And O'Hara - who netted for Accies in the clash - said: "When we saw Smithy was playing, we knew he'd be dangerous. We know him inside out, he has been at the club for years and he did so well for us last season helping us get promoted.
"As a team we are just frustrated with the way he's scored because we know his qualities. He likes to go down the line and cut back on his left foot and that's how he scores his goal.
"It was a frustrating result. We played well in spells, so did Livi. There wasn't much in the game.
"They were probably just more ruthless in the box than we were so it is frustrating. We'll watch it back and see what we can improve on."
O'Hara was denied an equaliser at 2-1 by a stunning stop from Lions goalkeeper Jerome Prior at close range.
And he added: "I think it was Reegs [Reghan Tumilty] who played it across the box and I just tried to get a clean contact on it. The keeper makes a save but I should score.
"It is one of those ones where I will look back on and see what I can improve on.
"When they scored, we showed a good reaction twice and we just couldn't get that second goal.
"The team is more solid now. We are not losing as many chances as we were at the start
