Hafthor Bjornsson has lost a lot of weight since Eddie Hall fight

Hafthor Bjornsson has revealed he has suffered weight loss after lacking motivation following his win over Eddie Hall in the boxing ring earlier this year.

The 33-year-old beat his fellow Strongman in March and has struggled in the aftermath of the fight to stay in top shape.

The meeting between the fighters in Dubai was described as the heaviest match in boxing history.

The victory for Bjornsson helped to settle the bitter feud between the two and there has even been talk of a potential rematch.

The rivalry started in 2017 when accusations of cheating during a Strongman event occurred and that ruined the relationship between the duo.

The Icelander took to Instagram to give an update on his latest condition.

He said: “Body weight 146kg. Haven’t been 100 percent with my diet or training lately. 

“I’m human like everyone else and I’m going through a period in my life where I’m not 100 percent focused or dedicated all the time.

“It’s weird because for the last 10+ years of my life, I’ve been super focused and driven because I’ve always had a goal to strive towards.

“Being in the unknown now has my motivation lacking a bit. If you are lacking motivation at this moment, know that it’s normal and we all go through that.” 

Before the fight against Hall, Bjornsson weighed in at 152kg, so the Game of Thrones star has lost six kilograms since the bout.

‘The Mountain’ is looking to continue his career in combat sports but it is yet to be revealed what his next challenge will be.
