Hackney shooting: Child in serious condition and three adults injured

A child is among four people who have been injured in a shooting in east London. Police were called out to reports of a shooting near a restaurant on Kingsland High Street in Dalston, Hackney, at around 9.20pm last night (May 29).

Officers, including specialist firearms officers, and London Ambulance Service attended. Metropolitan Police says three adults and a child were all taken to an east London hospital with gunshot wounds.

The child was in a serious condition. Officers are working to establish the circumstances of this incident, but no arrests have been made so far.

Deputy Assistant Commissioner Matt Ward, of the Met, said: "We know Londoners will be shocked by what has taken place tonight. Our thoughts go to all those affected.

"Fast-moving enquiries are under way and we will update as soon as we can. If anyone has any information, please contact us."
