Ruben Amorim's Manchester United squad is growing increasingly likely to see major changes over the summer transfer window ahead of the 2025/26 season.
After replacing Erik ten Hag in November, the Portuguese head coach has struggled for any sort of consistency through injuries, poor individual player performances and lack of tactical understanding.
Once the current season ends, one which is set to be United's worst-ever in the Premier League, focus will shift to the transfer window. The number of signings that will be made by Omar Berrada and Jason Wilcox is currently unclear, but what is known is that United need a number of reinforcements.
The Manchester Evening News reported earlier this month the club were keen on signing a new goalkeeper and striker. As well as that, a new midfielder and centre-back have also been tipped with uncertainty surrounding the future of a number of players.
With that in mind, MEN Sport takes a look at United's dream starting XI for the first game of next season...
United have some quality players scattered around their squad with Bruno Fernandes, Lisandro Martinez, Leny Yoro and Manuel Ugarte. Realistically, they could do with around 10 players brought in as first-team starters and back-up, but that's not going to happen.
Starting at the back, Victor Lindelof's imminent exit upon the expiry of his contract means another centre-back wouldn't go amiss. With Ineos keen on investing in the next generation, United are likely to look at a younger profile of player to come in and develop into a first-team player.
Inter Milan's Yann Bisseck, 24, has been linked with a move to Old Trafford this month. Jarrad Branthwaite and Ronald Araujo have also been mentioned but it's RB Leipzig's Castello
