Gritty ‘10/10’ docudrama hailed as ‘best thing on Netflix in a while'

A docudrama about a legendary frontiersman of the American West is climbing the charts on Netflix. Viewers have claimed the six-part series is among the best things they've watched on the streamer recently.

Wyatt Earp and the Cowboy War was released on August 24 and is currently sitting at number eight in the UK Netflix TV charts. Over in the US, it has claimed the number five spot.

The series follows the true story of Wyatt Earp, his legendary Vendetta Ride, and how his famed gunfight at the OK Corral gained national and international attention that nearly sparked a second Civil War. American actor and filmmaker Ed Harris, whose notable work includes Apollo 13 and The Truman Show, narrates the series.

Fans quickly took to X, formerly Twitter, to praise the series, with many reckoning it was a '10/10.' One fan wrote: "Wyatt Earp and the Cowboy War is the best thing I've watched on @netflix in quite a while. An incredible piece of American history brilliantly told."

A second gushed: "Wyatt Earp and the Cowboy War is such a good docudrama - 10/10" as a third admitted: "I’m not even finished yet and 'Wyatt Earp and the Cowboy War' might be my favourite thing I’ve watched on Netflix in a very long time".
