Grinning Fashion Sakala has Rangers bench howling as Roy Makaay reduced to tears by Cristiano Ronaldo homage

Fashion Sakala had the Rangers bench in stitches when he channeled Cristiano Ronaldo after his somewhat fortunate goal against Annan.

But the striker took straight to social media as he was adamant his tight-angled finish was no fluke.

The Zambian frontman found Rangers' third in the stormy conditions as they comfortably progressed in the Scottish Cup.

He didn't appear to mean it as his attempted cross caught Fleming - and pretty much everyone at blustery Galabank - by surprise as it floated across goal the top corner.

But Sakala was certainly claiming it when he wheeled off to celebrate with Ronaldo's famous 'Siu' pose.

His teammates saw the funny side as the grinning striker was congratulated by Gio van Bronckhorst's stars.

But it was the Ibrox bench that really got the joke as they were caught by Premier Sports' cameras in floods of laughter.

Dutch coach Roy Makaay works closely with the Ibrox strikers and he appeared to really enjoy it as he was briefly snapped wiping the tears out of his eyes.

Claims it was an accidental goal have been disputed by Sakala himself as he took to Twitter to claim he meant it.

Echoing Makaay's mood with a string of cry-laughing emojis, he wrote: "I saw the goalkeeper, it was a shot. Top corner."

Kemar Roofe and the returning Filip Helander also struck in a comfortable win in rainy conditions.

Gers will find out on Monday evening who they face in the next round.
