Greg Taylor insists Rangers 'big one' means nothing as Celtic defender puts focus on St Johnstone

Greg Taylor admits Celtic ’s Ibrox win was a big one.

But the Parkhead defender insists it will count for nothing if his team don’t back it up with success over St Johnstone on Saturday.

Taylor was amongst the heroes for Ange Postecoglou ’s team as they moved to within touching distance of the title by sinking Rangers in their own backyard.

Celtic’s 2-1 victory has given them a six-point cushion with just half a dozen Premiership games remaining but the left-back says there’s no room to let up.

Callum Davidson’s team head for Glasgow’s east end at the weekend fighting for their top-fight lives and Taylor says his side have to double down on their Govan triumph to really make it count.

He said: “At the end of the day, it is only three points. Of course, it was a big one but it means nothing if we don’t go and continue that form into next week.
