Greater Manchester town to host their first ever Comic-Con

Bury will be hosting its very first comic-con at the end of the month - bringing excitement to the streets of the Greater Manchester borough.

Comic-Con is an event for superhero, TV and film lovers to come to show off their cosplays and meet the stars of their favourite TV series and films.

This comic con will be taking place on Sunday, October 29 and is being organised by the borough’s Bury Business Improvement (BID).

The event will be held across various locations in the town centre with a map to be given to visitors to help make their way around the convention.

The venues to be hosting Comic-Con will be:

The convention will be hosting a variety of competitions such as a ‘complete the comic’ competition where artists will have to draw and paint specific sequences of a comic book.

The event will also host a costume and cosplay competition where visitors can come show off their best attires representing characters in pop culture.

Some famous faces will be at the convention which include Colin Baker (Doctor Who), Willie Copen (Star Wars), George Copen (Willow) and more.

The event will feature many stalls where visitors can come and purchase art, figurines, and more. Bury’s Comic Con will take place inside The Rock Shopping Centre and can be found at 1 Goodall St, Bury BL9 0JY.
