Greater Manchester Bonfire Night 2024 firework displays and events

Autumn is well and truly underway. The clocks are about to go back, the nights are starting to draw in and Halloween and Bonfire Night are just around the corner.

While the colder weather and longer nights might fill some of us with dread, there's also lots of events and activities to make the most of the season. Bonfire Night 2024 celebrations have been announced across all ten local boroughs, offering everything from live music and funfairs to delicious food and drink.

While some of the region's biggest bonfire events - like the ones in Heaton Park and Platt Fields will not be taking place after council bosses announced the cancellation Bonfire Night displays in Manchester as it has 'reprioritised funding', some of Greater Manchester's councils are putting on displays and there's a number of private events being held too.

The Whalley Range Cricket and Lawn Tennis Club will host its annual bonfire and fireworks display on Saturday, November 2.

The ticketed event will feature an ‘enormous’ bonfire, which will be lit at 6.30pm, followed by a firework display at approximately 8pm. There will be two fully stocked bars, alongside traditional bonfire snacks, and there will also be two food vendors on site.

Tickets start at £5 per child (age 3-15). A family ticket of two adults and two children is available for £20. Tickets here.
