Pep Guardiola is not expecting an immediate selection boost for Manchester City heading into their Champions League game with RB Leipzig on Tuesday night, but things are finally starting to ease up for the treble winners in their treatment room at the Etihad Stadium.
City have been hampered by injuries this term and were handed one or two scares during the international break. However, while there were concerns over Ederson and Erling Haaland - among others - both played against Liverpool.

What Guardiola has said: "We will do a second day of recovery, but I'm not optimistic about news of anyone coming back. I think it will be the same people as against Liverpool."

Kovacic was involved in the Chelsea game as a second-half substitute. However, the Croatia midfielder was then forced to withdraw from the latest international break and missed matches with Latvia and Armenia. The former Chelsea man was unable to recover in time to feature against Liverpool on Saturday lunchtime.
