Grand National 2024 results in FULL including 1-2-3-4 places, finishers and fallers
Favourite backers cheered as 7/1 joint favourite I Am Maximus led home an Irish 1-2-3-4 for jockey Paul Townend and trainer Willie Mullins', in a race where no horse fell and every horse came back safely. Despite it being a largely trouble-free race, last year’s winner Corach Rambler incredibly unseated at the first fence for Kinross trainer Lucinda Russell.
Delta Work again was placed for trainer Gordon Elliott - seven and a half lengths behind the winner - with former Gold Cup winner Minella Indo coming home a length further behind in third place for Rachael Blackmore. In a much changed Grand National this year, only thirty-two runners took part, twenty-one horses got round safely, a number just two short of the record number of finishers, when 23 got round in 1984 when Hallo Dandy won.
Galvin ran on for fourth with Kitty’s Light - the first British horse home- in fifth. Ain’t That A Shame, ridden by amateur jockey David Maxwell was sixth.
Garry Owen’s NAP of the day Mahler Mission unseated at the Chair fence.
