Gorka Marquez gushes as Aljaz Skorjanec shares sweet moment with baby Lyra after missing out on meet-up

Gorka Marquez was quick to respond to Aljaz Skorjanec's latest sweet update after he was forced to miss out on a catch-up with his former Strictly Come Dancing co-star and his baby daughter.

Gorka, 33, is currently away from home and away from his fiance Gemma Atkinson and their two children, Mia and Thiago, due to taking part in the 2023 run of the BBC One dance contest. And last week, Gemma headed out to meet-up with Aljaz, who she partnered on Strictly in 2017, and his wife Janette Manrara as their newborns met for the first time.

Gemma and Gorka confirmed their 'little man' made a safe arrival into the world on July 17, sharing the news days later. A few days after that, the couple, who met on Strictly, shared the first picture of their second child and confirmed his name as Thiago Thomas Marquez.

Meanwhile, Janette, 39, and Aljaz, 33, welcomed their baby girl at the end of last month. The former Strictly pro dancers announced their daughter's arrival on July 29 in a social media post shared on both of their Instagram pages featuring the first adorable photo of the new family of three.

After supporting each other through their pregnancies, Gemma, Janette and Aljaz, who partnered Gemma to the final of Strictly in 2017, were finally able to meet up but unfortunately, Gorka had to miss out due to being away from home while training for the dance show with his new celebrity partner Nikita Kanda.
