Gemma Atkinson left emotional as she leaves home to watch Strictly Come Dancing amid fears for Gorka Marquez's future

Gemma Atkinson was left emotional as she watched the latest episode of Strictly Come Dancing from a hotel room as she prepared to reunite with her fiance Gorka Marquez. The Hits Radio host revealed earlier this week that the pair would be back together after weeks apart once he'd finished his latest stint in the ballroom.

Gemma, 38, made the trip to London, where Gorka, 33, has been based while working on the BBC One dance contest with his celebrity dancer partner Nikita Kanda, as they're both set to appear at the Pride of Britain Awards on Sunday night (October 8),

Taking to Instagram as Strictly returned to screens for week three of the competition and the annual spectacle that is Movie Week, Gemma revealed she had been left quite choked up in her hotel room as she watched the professional dancers' opening number.

Hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman than began the third week of the competition by being escorted into the ballroom by Mickey and Minnie Mouse while fellow iconic and much-loved characters Pluto, Goofy, Donald and Daisy Duck also walked out with the judges.

Sharing a video of her TV screen featuring the professional dancers' opening number, Gemma wrote on her Instagram Story: "Genuinely emotional watching the group number to Disney," alongside an emoji of a face holding back
