Good Morning Britain's Ed Balls told 'get out of the gutter' as co-star issues warning
During Thursday's episode of Good Morning Britain, Ed Balls received a playful rebuke from his co-host as he was told to "get his head out the gutter".
Ed and his co-host Kate Garraway were presenting the day's headline stories when they were joined by entertainment correspondent Richard Arnold, who brought up the topic of trending Halloween costumes.
As Ed welcomed Richard to the show, he queried: "We have Richard Arnold in the studio. Halloween, what is going on? ".
Richard explained that one of the popular costume ideas this year is to dress as a 'nepo baby', but Kate highlighted the challenge of such a costume, noting it might just look like regular attire.
Richard began with: "We've rounded up what has been trending as the top Halloween costume for 2024 plucked straight from the world of showbiz.", reports the Mirror.
He added: "Popular this year is pop star Charlie XCX and of course Sabrina Carpenter is expected to be copied this year."
"And another favourite, which I do like, is nepo baby, which are children of famous people and the Beckham boys spring to mind."
Kate interjected: "That seems like such a hard costume to pull off if you don't actually look like the person because it'll look like you've just got normal clothes on."
Richard claimed: "Actually it's quite a good costume." Kate agreed: "Yeah it can be quite easy."
Ed appeared to be puzzled by what Kate said, asking: "What do you mean pull off? " Kate elaborated: "Pull off. You know, pull off the costume. I don't mean take it off."
Ed responded: "Oh I see you. Thought you meant actually pulling off the costume." At this point, Richard intervened, clarifying: "Achieve the look Ed. Get out of the gutter."
