Goldberg: Interesting update on his WWE status puts rumours to bed

Goldberg is not going to be returning to WWE for a match at Crown Jewel, despite rumours to the contrary.

Over the last few weeks, rumours online have circulated indicating that Goldberg was preparing for a return to WWE.

WWE usually brings in its legends for matches in Saudi Arabia, so many fans think that the former Universal Champion could be brought back by Triple H, but that doesn’t appear to be in the works.

As noted, fans online seem to be pretty adamant that Goldberg is coming back soon, with this speculation being fuelled by the fact WWE released a video on YouTube about him this weekend.

However, Ringside News has put that speculation to bed by reporting that Goldberg is not currently booked for Crown Jewel on November 5.

Ringside News was told by a tenured member of the creative team that Goldberg is not working the Crown Jewel show in Saudi Arabia

So while Triple H may look to load the card for Crown Jewel in November, which tends to be the case for Saudi Arabia shows, he’ll have to do so without the WWE Hall of Famer.

Interestingly enough, the same report noted that Brock Lesnar is slated to work Crown Jewel, on the other hand, which will be welcomed news for fans of ‘The Beast’.

Goldberg last worked with WWE, interestingly enough, at the Elimination Chamber event in February 2022, when he challenged Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship.

Prior to that too, Goldberg was also involved with last year’s Crown Jewel show, beating former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley in a Falls Count Anywhere match.
