GMB viewers turn off ITV show after complaints over Katie Price coverage

Good Morning Britain faced a drop in viewers on Friday as disgruntled fans expressed their dissatisfaction with the ITV show. The breakfast programme, hosted by Kate Garraway and Rob Rinder, aimed to wake the nation up with some of the day's top headlines.

One major news story was the arrest and remand in custody of former glamour model Katie Price. The mother-of five-was taken into custody after failing to attend court proceedings last month, leading to a warrant being issued for her arrest.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police confirmed to Express.co.uk: "A 46-year-old woman from Surrey was arrested at Heathrow Airport at 19:45hrs on Thursday, 8 August for failing to appear at court."

"She has been remanded in custody at a west London police station to appear at the Royal Courts of Justice tomorrow, Friday, 9 August."

As Kate and Rob discussed the issue, and the ITV show displayed a banner with the news across the bottom of the screen, viewers at home expressed their frustration. One viewer took to Twitter to announce they would no longer be watching, writing: "No balance again .. had to switch channel #GMB," reports the Express.

Another viewer voiced their complaint, posting: "Oh no. Ricky Jones was mentioned for 3 seconds 77 mins into the show what is one of the most appalling stories ever, that eviscerates Tommy Robinson and Nigel Farageis part of a weekly round up and now back to Katie Price main story. All #gmb has is the 60 + year old viewers."
