GMB's Kate Garraway welcomes back co-host to ITV show after long break

On the latest episode of Good Morning Britain, ITV audiences were treated to Kate Garraway co-hosting with Paul Brand.

Regular viewers are accustomed to seeing Kate alongside familiar faces like Adil Ray, Ed Balls and Richard Madeley on Friday's edition of the ITV programme.

Yet, this time around, they were greeted by the less frequent sight of ITV news correspondent Paul Brand taking up the co-host role.

Kate welcomed him to the show, remarking: "Lovely to have you here by the way!"

To which he responded: "Great to be here this morning."

As Kate noted it had been a while since their last stint together, Paul concurred, saying: "It has been a little while. I'm used to late nights rather than early mornings, but it's lovely to be here this morning with you."

With a touch of humour, she retorted: "Brilliant thank you, we'll see if you feel like that at nine o'clock!"

Paul, who is no stranger to the show for his news segments, hadn't hosted since 2022, reports the Mirror.

Ahead of his appearance, he took to Twitter on Thursday to inform his followers about his upcoming stint on Good Morning Britain, posting an old photo with Kate.

His tweet playfully read: "Hope @kategarraway is feeling especially patient!"

Fans quickly expressed their excitement in the comments, with one saying: "You're brilliant at whatever you do, really looking forward to. Good luck."

One fan penned: "Can Paul Brand be made a permanent presence on GMB? Proper questioning!"

Another viewer expressed their enthusiasm saying: "Refreshing to have Paul presenting this morning."

Spotting another positive reaction, one comment read: "Good to see Paul Brand presenting this morning."

Additionally, a Twitter user enthused: "Paul Brand-start to the perfect day.
