Gillingham’s former winger Jordan Graham in hospital after PFA report him being involved in a serious road traffic accident

Former Gillingham winger Jordan Graham is receiving specialist treatment in hospital after being involved in a serious road traffic accident.

The 31-year-old, who was most recently with Leyton Orient, was involved in the accident earlier this month.

The Professional Footballers’ Association confirmed the news in a statement on Monday but said no further details would be released at this stage.

It said: “Earlier this month Jordan Graham was involved in a serious road traffic accident and is currently receiving specialist treatment in hospital.

“His family are incredibly grateful for the care he is receiving. They respectfully ask for privacy and that people refrain from contacting them directly while they focus entirely on Jordan and his recovery.

“Further information will only be provided when appropriate.”

Graham spent 18 months with Gillingham after joining the club in January 2020.

He made 46 league appearances for the Gills, scoring 12 goals, before leaving for Birmingham City ahead of the 2021/22 season.

Graham was an important creative outlet for Gillingham during his time at Priestfield, particularly when playing alongside striker Vadaine Oliver.

Gillingham responded to the PFA's statement on X, sending their support to their former player and his family.

The club said: “Everyone at the club is thinking of Jordan and his family at this time.

“We wish him a full and swift recovery.”
