Genshin Impact 2.6 Update Xingqiu: 4-Star Character Being Given Away Free

Genshin Impact 2.6 Update is set to be released at the end of March 2022, and miHoYo will be giving away Xingqiu for free.

The company revealed during the 2.6 Update Livestream that the character would be offered for free. 

In terms of 4-star characters, it’s great that miHoYo has opted to offer Xingqiu free as part of the latest iteration of the game!

Leaks initially revealed that players would be getting Xingqiu as a free character in the new update, but the Livestream officially confirmed it.

Noted Genshin Impact leaker account Genshin Intel revealed the following back in February 2022: 

“Hues of the Violet Court: Irodori Festival with story quests and 4 minigames:

“These minigames reward a total of 680 primogems (not including story quest rewards).

You need to complete the last stages of all 4 minigames (including defeating ‘The Mightiest Warrior,’ who can block all attacks other than your parry) before you can redeem a Xingqiu for free.”

It wasnoted during the English language version of the Livestream how players could get a hold of Xingqiu: “After participating in all four of these special event game modes and reaching certain criteria, Travellers will be able to invite Xingqiu to join their team for free, so don’t forget to try out all the events.”

Xingqiu is a great character to get a hold of in Genshin Impact, especially if you’re able to get a hold of them for free!
