Genshin Impact 2.6 Update: Players React to Yae Miko Nerfs

Genshin Impact 2.6 Update was released on Wednesday 30th March 2022, and players have been reacting to the nerfs that have been introduced for Yae Miko.

Whilst some information regarding the character was leaked ahead of the 2.5 release of the game, miHoYo appears to have already decided to nerf the character.

As it turns out, there are a lot of players that are extremely unhappy with what the developers have done, with some demanding that they are compensated for the “wasted” primogems spent.

A Redditor on the dedicated r/YaeMiko subreddit stated that the nerfing to the character was unacceptable.

They wrote: “For those of you who don’t know, 2.6 has a ‘fix’ where Yae’s targeting on her totems gets changed from random to the closest enemy. This makes her Electro application far worse and makes the extended range on her C2 constellation almost irrelevant. 

“I can’t believe I spent so many damn wishes getting her C2, only for MiHoYo to nerf the character already on my account.

“It’s absurd false advertising to bait players to spend their money on one thing only to snatch it away as a “fix”. Bullsh*t! I wasted tens of thousands of primos to get a character to C2 who isn’t at ALL worth the hype she rode in on, and now is being nerfed to be EVEN WORSE?”

Other players would agree with the angry post, with one writing: “Now even her electro application which was one of her strengths is badly hit. She doesn’t spread them among multiple enemies anymore since she always hits the closest.

“Absolute rubbish bugfix which nobody asked for. Not even an artifact set
