Gemma Atkinson has said she's 'so happy' as she gave a fresh update on a project close to her heart. It was back in May that the Hits Radio host revealed she would be branching out into a new area away from entertainment and her much-loved fitness.

Speaking directly in a video to her fans and followers on Instagram at the time, Bury-born Gemma said: "I'm currently in the process of launching my very own health and beauty brand called 'Lil' Gems'. I'm so excited I can finally share it with you all. It's something that I've been quietly working on for the past six months or so.

"I don't want to give too much away but we've got a lot planned at Lil' Gems. It's just dawned on me, it's something I've been passionate about for a while but turning 40 this year, having two kids and working, I realised how little time a lot of us have for a beauty regime and when it comes to our health and wellness, it gets pushed to the bottom of the pile. because of life."

She added: "So with that in mind, I wanted to create products that will still make us feel great, look great, smell great and perform great so there's a lot coming. But I don't want to give too much away but I would love you guys to be part of the creative process. I would love your input..."

Gemma has since been working with her team to host virtual sessions and issue surveys getting the input of her fans and followers on what they want to see from the products she will release.
