Gemma Atkinson admits 'part of her is glad' after Dr Punam Krishan's Strictly exit as star shares 'promise' from Gorka Marquez
Gemma Atkinson has admitted there is a 'small part of her' that's 'glad' after Dr Punam Krishan and her partner Gorka Marquez's exit from Strictly Come Dancing this weekend.
The pair were the latest couple to leave the BBC dance contest after finding themselves at the bottom of the leaderboard during Halloween week on Saturday (October 26). Dr Punam and Gorka went up against Shayne Ward and Nancy Xu in a bid to save their place in the competition, but were voted off during Sunday's results show.
Craig Revel Horwood, Motis Mabuse and Anton Du Beke each decided to save Shayne and Nancy, automatically sending Punam and Gorka home, with Head Judge Shirley Ballas also revealing she would have decided to save Shayne and Nancy.

With the pair's time on the show now over, Dr Punam has now taken to Instagram to share a tribute to her professional dance partner. Sharing a video of Gorka dancing in a kilt, the Scottish doctor revealed a promise that he had made to her.
The caption read: "Presenting Mr Gorka McMárquez. He promised he’d dance the Charleston in a kilt if we got to Blackpool and whilst sadly we didn’t make it there, I did manage to capture @gorka_marquez living his best kilt life in Glasgow a few weeks ago.
Dr Punam continuedL "I’ve had the best time with Gorka on Strictly and made memories for a lifetime. I am always grateful to those who teach me new things, new skills, new ways of being - Gorka did that and some! From dancing to life lessons - a rollercoaster it was however my fondest memories will always be the laughs and bants we had (as well as the comfort coffee & croissant breaks!).
"Thank you @gorka_marquez
