Gary Neville has issued a clear warning to Manchester United over their "tough" run of games they have ahead of them in the Premier League.

United, who are battling with Arsenal, Tottenham and West Ham United for a place in the top four this season, currently occupy fourth spot in the table after beating Leeds United 4-2 at Elland Road on Sunday afternoon.

Ralf Rangnick's men are now four points clear of West Ham and Arsenal, while they sit seven ahead of Tottenham.

However, following their home match with Watford next weekend, Man United then face Manchester City, Tottenham and Liverpool in their next three Premier League outings - something Neville has warned his former club about.

"I mean obviously Manchester United’s run over the last couple of months has been welcoming for Ralf Rangnick but he’s got a tough period now in front of him," Neville said on Sky Sports.

"I think he’ll recognise that Tottenham result yesterday will just boost them to a point whereby they’re in decline in the season so that will shock United a bit. They can’t afford to drop points here today.

"This February-March period was always on the horizon. I think that everyone knew Manchester United’s run of fixtures over Christmas and into January were okay.

"Still a lot of work to do in the Premier League but this group of fixtures are a completely different kettle of fish; City and Liverpool away, Tottenham, obviously the Champions League and this game today
