Gary Neville makes Man City injury prediction that Pep Guardiola will love

Manchester City could see more withdrawals from international duty this week predicts Gary Neville - but the former Manchester United defender insists the Blues shouldn't be concerned.

City have already seen Ederson and Kevin De Bruyne left back in Manchester due to minor muscle injuries, and they are expected back in training after the break. Jack Grealish was not named in the England squad, and has since returned to the City matchday squad ahead of a personalised 10-day training programme to return to full fitness.

There were doubts over Erling Haaland's condition after a knock in training for Norway, but the striker has declared himself fit and will face the Czech Republic on Friday. City have three players in the England squad, plus representatives for Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Netherlands, Argentina, Belgium and Croatia.

Guardiola sent his players off to their countries with a reminder to be 'sensible' over their workloads with more important games ahead for City, and Haaland revealed he warned them he would 'come after' them if they came back injured.

With Arsenal up next after the international break, Neville believes both City and Arsenal players might begin to look towards their Easter Sunday showdown rather than the second friendly for their countries.
