Gary Neville has chosen his all-time Premier League team XI with a twist - he wasn't allowed to pick any Manchester United player.

Neville sat down with fellow Sky Sports pundits Roy Keane and Jamie Carragher for The Overlap Live last week and was presented an interesting task.

The former United full-back wasn't allowed to choose any of his former teammates or current United stars and came up with a controversial side.

Goalkeeper: Alisson (Liverpool, 2019-present)

Right-back: Cesar Azpilicueta (Chelsea, 2012-present)

Central defence: Virgil van Dijk (Southampton, 2015-2018 and Liverpool, 2018-present)

Central defence: John Terry (Chelsea, 1998-2017)

Left-back: Ashley Cole (Arsenal, 1999-2006 and Chelsea, 2006-2014)

Central midfield: Patrick Vieira (Arsenal, 1996-2005 and Manchester City, 2010-2011)

Central midfield: Steven Gerrard (Liverpool, 1998-2015)

Right wing: Thierry Henry (Arsenal, 1999-200 and 2012)

Attacking midfield: David Silva (Manchester City, 2010-2020)

Striker: Alan Shearer (Blackburn Rovers, 1992-1996 and Newcastle United, 1996-2006)

As he ran down the defence the audience continued to booed and Neville joked "Who the f**k do you want in?!"

In attack he went for Thierry Henry, David Silva, Mohamed Salah and Alan Shearer with many annoyed by Shearer's
