Gary Lineker, Alan Shearer and Micah Richards set for new role as huge Sidemen hint dropped
Football pundits Gary Lineker, Micah Richards and Alan Shearer have hinted at their participation in this year's Sidemen Charity Football Match. The YouTube group announced earlier this month that their popular charity event will return in March 2025, with a crowd of 90,000 expected at Wembley Stadium.
The previous event took place in 2023 at West Ham United's London Stadium, raising £2.4million for charity. The Sidemen boast 21 million subscribers on their main YouTube channel and over 100 million across their individual channels.
Tickets for the event sold out in just over three hours. In 2023, several well-known social media figures participated, including iShowSpeed, Kai Cenat, Chunkz, Danny Aarons, Mr Beast and Angry Ginge.

No player announcements have been made yet, but the Sidemen have hinted at one of their biggest surprises yet. On Instagram, several Sidemen members posted a story with '25.11' and '4pm', hinting at an announcement this Monday afternoon.
At the same time, Lineker, Richards and Shearer all posted an image with the same date and time, in the same font. Lineker, Richards and Shearer are regulars on BBC's Match of the Day - although Lineker will leave his presenting role at the end of the season - and their popular 'Rest is Football' podcast, reports Football.London.
If the announcement is that the trio will be providing punditry at Wembley in March, it would be the latest innovation from the YouTube group.
