Gareth Bale namechecks Celtic as he reveals his love for Angeball came before rousing Tottenham salvo
Gareth Bale can't wait to see the evolution of Ange Postecoglou's Tottenham after the exciting brand of football he played while Celtic manager.
The Australian will forever hold the Premiership champions in his heart but the lure of the Premier League proved too good to turn down in the summer when Spurs came calling. And he has got them rocking early doors, with a Carabao Cup exit to Fulham on penalties the only hiccup during his reign, which remains undefeated in the Premier League..
Bale is a Spurs legend and has now retired, with questions being posed to him on the familiar territory of the golf course on Postecoglou's North London start, and he admitted his high-octane attacking ways at Celtic buy into the Tottenham vision. When asked if he'd love to play for 'Big Ange' amid exciting football, he told Sky: "It's great to see.
"I think they have got the style back, I think that is something the club was probably looking for as well, seeing how he played and performed at Celtic. Great start and hopefully there is still more to come from the team. They will keep getting better with the new manager and the new kind of style. Hopefully they put themselves up there and give themselves a chance."
