Galloway boxer aims to make it three wins from three professional fights

Galloway’s own Tyler Jolly will take to the ring in Ireland on Saturday night hoping to make it three wins from three in his professional career.

The Whithorn fighter will take on Damian Haus of Poland in a card billed as “The Rumble in the Hills” at the Aura Complex in Letterkenny. County Donegal.

Tyler, 24, is travelling over to Ireland on the ferry from Cairnryan this morning (Thursday) along with a contingent of supporters from his home town.

The hit-man – whose boxing moniker is Hotdog – is confident he can keep his 100 per cent professional record intact,

He told the News: “I’m going over on the boat on Thursday morning for the fight on Saturday.

“Training has been going really well and I’ve been sparring with some really good guys who have been boxing for titles.

“Everything has been going to plan – I’ll be boxing at super welterweight for this fight for title fights I’ll drop down to welterweight.”

That Tyler is already thinking about national titles is further evidence of trademark confidence in his ability to reach the very top of the sport.

He said: “Hopefully early next year I’ll be boxing for a Scottish or Celtic title.

“My opponent Damian Haus has won four times, all by knock-out, and has 10 losses but he has not been stopped very much.

“I just need to keep myself sharp, not worry about him too much and just get the job done.

“This will probably be my last fight of the year so I want to make sure my 100 per cent record stays that way.”

Tyler stopped Frank Madsen in his last bout in September.
