For those achievements alone, it is clear that £27m was a steal for City to sign Jesus from six years ago; all their excitement at beating off other European heavyweights to his signature was justified. The 25-year-old has been a popular member of the squad that has gone on to great things under Guardiola, his workrate has always been exceptional, and even at the business end of this season he was turned to for lots of the biggest games.
