Gabriel Jesus: Arsenal star shows elite mentality in interview after Leicester win

Gabriel Jesus was absolutely incredible in his home Premier League debut for Arsenal on Saturday afternoon.

The Gunners beat Leicester City 4-2 at the Emirates Stadium and Jesus directly contributed to every one of his side’s goals.

The Brazilian was named in the starting line-up and he opened the scoring in the 23rd minute.

Jesus found space inside the box and curled a delightful effort past Danny Ward and into the top corner.

It was a fantastic way to open his account for his new club.

He notched his second 12 minutes later as he headed home when unmarked at the back post.

Jesus then turned from goal scorer to provider as he assisted both Granit Xhaka and Gabriel Martinelli’s second half strikes.

With Arsenal 4-2 up in the 85th minute, Jesus was taking off and was given a standing ovation by the home supporters.

It was a superb performance by the 25-year-old but he really should have had a hat-trick.

He made his way into the box in the 37th minute but was dispossessed just as he was going to have a pop at goal.

He also missed a golden opportunity to score in the second half. With the goal gaping, Jesus missed the target from close range with his left-foot.

Jesus out.
