GAA grant permission for Ireland v France Euro 2025 qualifier to be held at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh

The Republic of Ireland's final Euro 2025 WNT qualifier against France on 16 July is in line to be held at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh, after permission was granted by the GAA.

The motion for the Cork venue to host the clash was given the green light at the GAA's Central Council and management committee meeting on Saturday.

The fixture will be the second soccer game to take place at the venue, after the Liam Miller tribute match between Manchester United and Celtic-Ireland Legends side, which was held in memory of the late Ireland international in September 2018.

Eileen Gleeson's Ireland side normally play at Tallaght Stadium but the venue is expected to be unavailable due to Shamrock Rovers' Champions League qualifiers.

Ireland are currently bottom of League A Group 3 in Euro qualifying, after losing their opening games to France in Metz and to England at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

They will play Sweden next at the Aviva on 31 May, before travelling to Solna to face the same opposition on 4 June.

A trip to Norwich City's Carrow Road for the return game against England takes place on 12 July, before the final qualifier against France four days later at Supervalu Páirc Uí Chaoimh, pending FAI confirmation.
