Furious customers scramble to cancel subscriptions to Postcode Lottery following devastating blow
The People’s Postcode Lottery has increased their prices, and customers aren’t happy with it. Many received a letter in the post or e-mail to say their monthly subscription rate will be rising, costing them an extra £24 a year.
Customers who are currently paying £10 a month to subscribe to the postcode lottery will now see a price increase of a further £2, costing them £12 a month.

This is a £24 annual increase and will see people pay £144 a year as opposed to the previous price of £120.
In a letter sent out to subscribers, the People’s Postcode Lottery has said the change to customers' monthly subscription will be in effect for the May draws and onwards.
“It’s the first increase in almost 13 years. You don’t need to do anything, the change will be made automatically.
“As a result, we’ll be able to offer you an even better range of prizes while raising funds for the good causes you support. We hope you understand,” they wrote.
Angry subscribers have taken to Twitter to express their annoyance at the increase in monthly subscription with some even threatening to cancel their plan.
Taking to Twitter, one subscriber said they have lost him as a customer and he suspects “there will be lots more.”
Twitter user Salouuu said: “£12 a month to play @PostcodeLottery I don’t think so. Bye bye ”
Dan Hallas wrote on the social media platform saying: “20% rise for Postcode Lottery now. Another firm taking the p***, cancelled.”
Another social media user under the name Marsey Gordo expressed her frustration at the price hike: “They've just put their charges up for monthly payers, no say in the matter.”
