Fuming Tiger Woods drops F bomb at The Masters as camera catches returning icon's angry blast

Tiger Woods is officially BACK as he returned to the course at The Masters.

The golfing icon teed off at Augusta on Thursday as he made a long awaited comeback from a catastrophic leg injury that threatened to end his career.

Woods was involved a car crash fourteen months ago, one that left his right leg crushed and his future in serious doubt.

But he's battled back from the brink and excitement has been building since the moment he announced he would play earlier this week.

Few in the world of sport can attract such a frenzy as the 15 time Major winner, whose haul includes five Masters' titles, four PGA Championships, three Open titles and three US Open wins.

Huge crowds turned out just to watch him practice and the masses again flocked around him as the 46-year-old teed up earlier on Thursday.

He made a solid start to his round and was one under after seven before bogeying the par 5 eighth.

Woods was visibly fuming with himself and when his approach on nine toppled off the edge of the green and ran for what must've felt like miles back down the fairway, that fury spilled out.

"Aw f**k off!", came the angry cry from Woods, one which was duly picked up by the mic.

*Insert something about him being human after all*

Woods' playing partner Joaquin Niemann is the early leader, jumping to the top of the leaderboard after notching an eagle on the ninth.
