Full borough-by-borough weekend weather forecast as cold snap set to continue with -3C temperatures expected

The cold snap is set to continue over the weekend before temperatures are expected to rise next week.

Temperatures are set to plunge again tonight, with some areas of Greater Manchester waking up to -3C or -2C. On Saturday, they are expected to remain at freezing or just above.

But it is expected to get slightly warmer on Sunday, before temperatures are forecast to rise to levels expected for this time of year by next week. Despite the cold weather, no-more snow is currently being forecast.

Met Office meteorologist Liam Eslick said: “Saturday is still going to be another cold one, unfortunately. Sunday will still be a chilly one, but not as cold as what we’ve seen for today and for tomorrow.

“By Monday, we are expecting the temperatures to come back up to what we would expect for this time of year, which is around sort of 7C (or) 8C.”

Here is the forecast for the weekend, borough-by-borough.
