Fulham potentially set to hold advantage over Huddersfield Town in transfer race

Premier League outfit Chelsea will give centre-back Levi Colwill a chance to shine during pre-season but would most likely send him out on loan to a top-tier side if he fails to force his way into the Blues’ first team, as per a report from 90min.

With this, he has attracted interest from several sides ahead of a potential move in the summer window with Carlos Corberan’s men and Fulham both thought to be weighing up a potential move.

They aren’t alone in this race, however, with Everton, Leicester City and Southampton also said to be in the running for his signature.

The top-tier trio look set to hold an advantage in this pursuit, with 90min reporting that a loan move to the top flight looks certain for the central defender if he can’t impress at Stamford Bridge in pre-season.

And it also means the Cottagers look more likely to get this deal over the line at this stage with Marco Silva’s men closing in on automatic promotion and the Terriers’ fate looking uncertain with a play-off place beckoning for them.

This could be a decent deal for Silva’s side because this loan agreement would allow them to add depth and quality in an area they need to improve, whilst enabling them to address other areas too because this deal is unlikely to cost too much.
