It’s hard to imagine a Liverpool team without Mohamed Salah in it. But if the club isn't careful, that could well be a possibility in 12 months time.

With another season done and dusted, attention is expected to turn once again to the off-the-pitch matters. One of those will undoubtedly be Salah’s contract situation, and it’s one that should be given priority status.

Salah’s current deal is set to expire in 2023, the same summer as Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane. The latter of that duo is making plenty of headlines in recent days, and if Mane does leave then that puts Liverpool in a tricky spot.
