John Spence, Costa Del Sol, added: “After Saturday’s latest debacle we're now 16 points behind Celtic, although truth is that's largely irrelevant. Fact is we're years behind. When Steven Gerrard was appointed manager in 2018 he was given three years to stop the unthinkable, and it took him most of that time to succeed.

“In whatever guise they take, hopefully a new regime together will emerge soon and they will have around double that timescale to stop the unthinkable again. And they may need it because, in over 50 years of following Rangers, I can't remember seeing such a poor group of players.
