Six best finds from new ‘supermarket’ where you can find big brands like Nike and Balenciaga for £10
If you’re trying to be more sustainable or just looking to shop on a budget, a new fashion ‘supermarket’ has arrived in Salford and it’s a must visit.
The UK’s first ever multi-charity pre-loved fashion store, Charity Super.mkt at Quayside Shopping Centre, opened its doors in Media City earlier this month, and is a haven for hidden gems - from vintage football tops to on trend winter coats - all coming in at a bargain price.

Many who have never charity shopped or thrifted before tend to have preconceived ideas of what it's like - including unflattering assumptions that the shops are dingy or the clothes are falling apart. Charity Super.mkt's modern shop and carefully hand selected pristine stock certainly beats those notions.
I had to do a double take when I noticed a Burberry hat sat on top of a mannequin's head when I entered the shop. Immediately I went over to it to inspect the bucket hat, which looked good as new.
There was no price tag on it, but often, when something isn’t marked in a charity shop it's a great opportunity to brush off your haggling skills. Most sellers are very generous when agreeing on a price - at the end of the day, the money is going to a good cause.
