French midfielder Angelo Fulgini joins SPL powerhouse Al-Khaleej from Lens

BEIRUT: French midfielder Angelo Fulgini has joined Saudi Professional League powerhouse Al-Khaleej FC on a two-year contract from Lens, the Saudi club announced on their X handle on Thursday.
The Frenchman was on loan with Al-Taawoun before the agreement was reached for him to represent Al-Khaleej next season, reported Arabic daily Al-Riyadiah.

In their post on X, the club wrote: “In the presence of the deputy supervisor of the football team Amin Al-Abbas, Angelo Fulgini becomes a Khaljawi for two seasons.”
The 29-year-old midfielder delivered a statistically impressive season with Al-Taawoun, making 30 league appearances with 10 assists and five goals.
Meanwhile, French news daily L’Equipe reported that Al-Khaleej finalized the contract with Fulgini after agreeing on all financial and contractual terms and details.
Fulgini’s career began at Valenciennes FC in 2015, before moving to Angers in France, Germany’s Mainz, and then Lens, culminating in his loan spell with Al-Taawoun.
He has made 401 professional appearances across various competitions, during which he scored 49 goals and provided 37 assists, according to Transfermarkt.
