Formula 1: Monaco Grand Prix remains on calendar to 2025 at least

The Monaco Grand Prix will remain on the Formula 1 calendar until at least 2025 after a three-year deal was revealed yesterday.

The FIA unveiled the 2023 calendar on Tuesday afternoon, with a record-breaking 24 races on the agenda.

Among the headlines, we see China returning, France dropping off, Qatar back after a year off because of the World Cup and Las Vegas joining.

Monaco, meanwhile, also remains on the schedule despite some fears over its future and it’ll be on the calendar for 2024 and 2025 as well after it was confirmed an agreement was reached to secure its status.

Still the ‘jewel in the F1 crown,’ Monaco may not always generate the best race but there is nothing quite like the venue and also seeing Formula 1 cars blasting around inches from the barriers is an unparalled thrill, plus it’s one the drivers adore.

It’s good that it has remained, then, with Stefano Domenicali, CEO of F1, remarking:

“I am pleased to confirm that we will be racing in Monaco until 2025 and excited to be back on the streets of this famous Principality for next year’s Championship on the 28th May. We look forward to being back next season to continue our partnership together.”
