Formula 1 confirms Mexican Grand Prix extension until end of 2025 season
Formula 1 bosses have signed off a new deal to keep the Mexican Grand Prix on the calendar until 2025.
The three-year contract extension was announced ahead of this weekend's race at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City.
The fixture - which returned to the schedule in 2015 following more than two decades away - will form part of next year's record-breaking 24-round campaign.
"I am very pleased to announce that F1 will continue to race in Mexico City for another three years under this new agreement," said F1 chief executive Stefano Domenicali.
"Every year, the race attracts a large number of passionate fans, and the atmosphere is incredible, and I know everyone will be excited by this news."
Local hero and Red Bull driver Sergio Perez said: "This is something great for our country, you know, because this country, we get to show how good the Mexicans are, our Mexican people, our country."F1 gives you that exposure worldwide. I'm super proud of my country that we are able to secure another contract with F1, so yeah, super happy."
