Former Tottenham man tells Richarlison that swapping Everton for Spurs not necessarily a ‘step up’
Former Tottenham winger Andros Townsend has warned his current Everton teammate Richarlison that a move to north London would not necessarily be a step up.
Antonio Conte’s men have emerged as the main contenders for the Brazilian’s signature following reports that he wanted out of Goodison Park after the club’s battle against relegation last season.

Latest reports suggest that Spurs are chasing a double deal for the striker and winger Anthony Gordon. That could cost the north London club in the region of £100million.
Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has revealed that talks are progressing and are at an advanced stage.
A move to north London would give Richarlison the opportunity to play Champions League football for the first time.
However, Townsend does not think that the striker moving to Tottenham is a progressive move.
When asked about the proposed switch he told talkSPORT: “I think you’re being slightly disrespectful by calling Spurs a step up!
“I think Everton is one of the biggest clubs in England, one of the most historic clubs, one of the biggest fanbases.
“He’s already a hero
