Former Rangers defender David Robertson has been sacked as Peterhead boss after less than four months, and in the wake of Saturday's humiliating 7-0 defeat at Airdrie.
The Diamonds tore League One's bottom side apart at New Broomfield, racing into a 4-0 interval lead, adding a further three in the second half.
Peterhead also lost 5-0 to Falkirk in their previous match, on March 4. That leaves the Blue Toon bottom of the table, three points behind Clyde, who host Airdrie on Friday night, but with a goal-difference of minus-57, while the Bully Wee's is minus-30.
Peterhead do have a game in hand, though. A statement issued by the club yesterday confirmed that Robertson had been fired, with captain Ryan Strachan and Jordon Brown taking the role of joint-caretaker manager for their match home to third-placed Alloa.
