Former Arsenal star Eduardo makes ambitious Premier League title prediction

Former Arsenal striker Eduardo reckons Arsenal can win the Premier League title in the next five years, as he backs Mikel Arteta to replicate the success of some memorable Arsene Wenger teams.

The Gunners are enjoying an encouraging season and are in a good position to reclaim a spot in the Champions League by finishing in the top four.

The remain a long way from challenging for the title at this stage, but Eduardo can see that changing in the near future, if they can keep up their current rate of improvement.

The former Croatia international is thoroughly impressed with Arteta and reckons that he will lead the Gunners bac to former glory if he stays in the job.

Speaking to Ladbrokes for their 5-A-Side bet on Crystal Palace v Arsenal, Eduardo said: ‘Arsenal are growing quickly. They’ve improved significantly over the last few years, in a transition phase from Arsene Wenger to Mikel Arteta’s side right now.

‘This year, for me, is the best that they have looked as a team in around eight years. They’re very close to getting back into the Champions League, and for that they deserve a lot of credit – especially when you look at some of the teams they’re ahead of in the table right now.

‘Mikel deserves all the credit he gets. It’s very hard to compete with the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool, but they’re right up there behind those two as one of the best sides in the division right now.

‘Man City have a dangerous combination of a lot of money and the top coach in the world, while Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp have built a really strong squad. But that’s taken a few years.
